I’ve been using my Flip & Sip 26oz water bottle in the pattern Under the Sea for 2 years now. I have gotten many comments on the bottle, and it is my go to when going off to my exercise classes. Unfortunately it’s now out of commission because the last time I washed my bottle (always by hand) I realized water had gotten into the cap. I shake it and can hear water swooshing around. Apparently there’s a chamber of air between the bottom part where you put the straw in, and the top. Don’t know why they would design a water bottle cap this way, allowing the possibility of a seal failure. Don’t even want to speculate as to the mold that must be growing in there, since the water’s been sitting in there for 2 weeks. I sent them a message through the website about 2 weeks ago and haven’t received a response. I know the bottle’s older than 365 days, so the warranty is apparently void, but would it really be too much trouble to send me a new cap? It’s not like I’m asking for a whole new bottle. Anyways, beware when washing, try not to submerge the cap.
Additional note: the cap handle has yellowed.
Fits great!
